Whiskey-Glazed Carrots
Ingredients
- 6 T. butter
- 2 lbs. carrots, peeled and cut into thick circles
- 1/2 c. whiskey
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- dash of salt
- black pepper
Instructions
- Melt 1 T. butter in a skillet over high heat. Add carrots in two batches cooking for 60-90 seconds each just to brown.
- Pour in whiskey and allow to evaporate 30 seconds. Reduce heat to medium and add remaining butter. When the butter is melted, sprinkle brown sugar over the top. Stir together then add the carrots. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
- Remove lid and add salt and pepper. Cook 5 minutes more...or until the glaze is thick.
