Drip Beef Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 - 4 lbs. chuck roast
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 large onion, sliced thick
  • 3 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1/2 c. soy sauce
  • 1 c. sherry
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 4 c. water
  • deli rolls

Instructions

  1. Heat the butter in a heavy pot over medium-high heat. Saute the onions for a couple of minutes, or until beginning to brown.
  2. Set the roast on top of the onions. Add the remaining ingredients. Cover the pot and simmer for 6 hours. Shred the meat and serve on rolls.
