Stuffed Pork Chops

June 2005 - Excellent!

Ingredients

  • 6 pork chops (3/4-1" thick)
  • 2 c bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c melted margarine
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 T minced onion or 1/2 onion diced
  • 2 stalks celery, sliced thin
  • dash pepper
  • garlic salt
  • 1/2 c water

Instructions

  1. Make pockets in chops by cutting a slit from fat side to bone.
  2. Combine all remaining ingredients.
  3. Fill pockets and fasten with toothpicks.
  4. Brown chops over low heat. Season with additional salt and pepper.
  5. Place shops in a casserole dish. Add water and back about 30 minutes at 350 degrees in the oven.
