Pecan Tarts
Bake at 350 degrees
Ingredients
- 1 package (4 oz.) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 c butter or margarine, softened
- 1 c all-purpose, sifted flour
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 3/4 c packed dark brown sugar
- 1 T butter or margarine, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2/3 c chopped pecans

Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, cut butter and cheese into dry ingredients and shape into a ball
- Chill for 1 hour
- Roll the dough and cut out 1/8" thick with a doughnut cutter
- For filling, beat the egg in a small mixing bowl
- Add brown sugar, butter and vanilla; mix well. Stir in pecans
- Spoon into shells and bake
