French Burnt Peanuts

Ingredients

  • 2 cups raw peanuts
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon maple flavoring

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Put all ingredients in large saucepan - bring to a boil
  3. Boil until all liquid is gone (Stirring occasionally at first, then constantly)
  4. Remove from heat
  5. Spread over greased jelly roll pan
  6. Put in preheated oven for 15 minutes
  7. Stir in peanuts and bake another 15 minutes
  8. Cool and store in glass container
