Fried Chicken Tenders

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs chicken tenders
  • 1 quart water
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 T. garlic powder
  • 1 T. onion powder
  • 1 T. paprika
  • 1 T. seasoning salt
  • 1 t. black pepper
  • 1 t cayenne pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 3 T. milk

Instructions

  1. Combine the water, salt, and sugar to form a brine. Add chicken and marinate for 2 hours.
  2. Combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, seasoned salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Mix the eggs and milk in another container.
  4. Preheat oil to 350 degrees.
  5. Dredge chicken in flour mixture, then egg mixture, then back in flour a second time. Place in fridge to dry out for 20 minutes.
  6. Fry tenders for about 5 minutes and drain on paper towels.
